If I put my laptop and cameras in my backpack carry-on can I still take my purse as a personal item?
The airline rules say I can have 1 carry-on and 1 personal Item such as a laptop, purse or camera.
Yes, the laptop would only be considered your personal item if you carried it on by itself or in its own case. You may want to try to stick your purse in your backpack and carry your laptop separately, however, if you are planning on using it during your flight; you will most likely be asked to stow your main carry-on in the overhead storage bin, unless both your backpack and purse will fit under the seat in front of you.
