OLYMPUS stylus 1030 waterproof?

The waterproof feature is a deal maker. is it true that it doesnt need any waterproof housing?

Yeah, it’s one of Olympus’s “tough” range.

The Stylus 1030 (or the Mju 1030, as it is here in Australia) is waterproof (down to 10m), shockproof (to 2m; you can drop it, but you can’t throw it or anything) snowproof, mudproof.

Also, it’s not just waterproof in the fact that it can WITHSTAND a dunking in water, it is also FUNCTIONAL in water. A friend of mine went diving with dolphins and she was able to use her 1030 to take some pretty spectacular photos.
